Donald J. Long, Jr., MBCP, MBCI, CISA, has worked in the business continuity and disaster recovery area for over 30 years. His introduction to disaster recovery came in the mid 1980s as a contributor / team leader in a Fortune 500 manufacturing company’s development, maintenance, and testing of their Disaster Recovery plan. Since 2001, Long has primarily focused on business continuity and disaster recovery preparation, plan development, and testing within industry and state government. The last 10 years, he has been working on BCP initiatives for three North American insurance companies.

After graduating from Westminster College with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Long has held many Information Technology and business positions. Those positions were application programmer, systems analyst, project leader, project manager, training manager, quality manager, business consultant, and Business Continuity Manager. He has contributed to the project efforts of manufacturing companies, government agencies, and financial institutions.

Long holds the DRI designation of Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP), Member Business Continuity Institute (MBCI), and the ISACA designation of Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). And is an active member of the Mid-Penn chapter Association of Contingency Planners (ACP) and Central PA Infragard chapter.
