Harvey Betan, MBCP, CBCLA, CBCP, CBCV, MBCI, MBA, is a DRI International Commissioner and instructor, certified business continuity planning consultant, MBA, and former Chief Information Officer (CIO). He has firsthand experience at recoveries of both World Trade Center attacks (February 1993 and September 2001). His experience at identifying, prioritizing and delivering projects, determining policies, applications, and overall business requirements while enhancing continuity of enterprise operations is not restricted to system recovery, but preparedness for varied eventualities. He has worked with government agencies and private sector organizations to determine readiness and impact of specific events affect to those entities. He has created exercise scenarios, and conducted second and third-party audits of both private and public organizations. He is an active instructor and commissioner for DRI, previously an Adjunct Professor at the Metropolitan College of New York (MCNY), and former member of the Norwich University Masters in Business Continuity faculty.
