Empowered by Emotions

Speaker: Lisa Welsher, Right Process

Monday, March 7, 1:45 pm - 2:45 pm

With the recent advancements made in neuroscience, discoveries have been made that shed new light on emotions – their purpose, their value, and the extraordinary benefits that can be derived from working with them rather than working against them. But despite the fact that emotions are a part of everyday corporate life – affecting areas such as productivity, decision making, the quality of relationships, employee retention and day-to-day operations – few professionals actually have a strong foundation of emotional awareness. Albeit a wide diversion from business continuity, disaster recovery and risk management this talk is about emotions – the neuroscience behind them, the purpose they serve and the impact they have on the productivity of each and every one of us.

Participants attending this highly interactive session will learn how scientific research is revealing how emotions are behind every decision we make. They influence the jobs we accept, the risks we take, the people we hire and those we fire. Emotions are the driving force behind what we say and what we do.

Participants will also receive a process workflow depicting the multi-step process for understanding emotions which helps people to make better decisions, navigate life with greater agility, conserve wasted energy, and significantly improve interpersonal relationships across all areas of life!
