Attend this session for a case study-based working group built around a real-life event. Attendees will be divided into teams that must address an incident with a potential two-year business loss. This highly-interactive session will be facilitated by former RIMS president Louis Drapeau, and attendees will be challenged to show coordination of risk management, business continuity, and several different insurance coverages.
Lou Drapeau is Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of DRI International. He has been a member of the Board since 2007. He is also a past President of RIMS. Drapeau is Director of Risk Management at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, a position he has held since November 1, 2003. Prior to that, he was the Risk Manager for The Budd Company/ThyssenKrupp USA in Troy, Michigan for 22 years, retiring in 2001. The Budd Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of ThyssenKrupp AG of Germany. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Western Michigan University, an MBA from Eastern Michigan University and an ARM certification from the Insurance Institute of America. Drapeau and his wife, Bonnie, reside in Somerset, KY. They have three grown children and five grandchildren.
